Spring in South Tyrol is enriched with colours and authentic flavours during the festival dedicated to Terlan's white asparagus. An unforgettable event for lovers of gastronomy.
From 25 March to 18 May, the localities of Terlano, Vilpiano and Settequerce will give you the usual appointment with the season dedicated to this precious product, through culinary experiences and exploratory itineraries between nature and tradition.
In these weeks, the absolute star is Terlano's Margarete asparagus, which is honoured for its very high quality. This white vegetable is harvested early in the morning by the expert hands of the growers and delivered directly to the participating restaurants that will use it in their preparations, guaranteeing freshness and characteristic taste.
The six local restaurants will reinterpret this excellent spring delicacy with unique creations that everyone can enjoy. Innovative and traditional dishes with the typical flavours of South Tyrolean cuisine. Let yourself be captivated by the culinary proposals, such as the classic combination of boiled ham, boiled potatoes and Bolzano sauce, accompanied by a good glass of wine.
In addition to delighting the palate, during the event you will have the opportunity to take part in food and wine walks and guided bike tours in the ‘asparagus triangle’.
