Plan
Plan, a picturesque village at an altitude of 1,622 m in Alta Val Passiria, lies in the largest nature reserve in the region, the Tessa Group Nature Park. This idyllic little place at the very foot of the Cima Altissima with its 3482 m high summit can boast of an undisturbed natural hinterland, the habitat of marmots and eagles.
Since the 26th December 2007 through traffic in Plan has been prohibited and since then only the inhabitants and the guests of the tourist accommodation may bring their cars into the village.
In Plan lies one of the two skiing resorts of Passiria valley. It can be reached from the centre of the village by a type of train on wheels and two shuttle buses. It is true that this is a small skiing area, but it is very well equipped and is ideally suited for families in particular.
