SellaRonda Skimarathon

When night falls on the Dolomites and the slopes empty out, Friday 14 March sees the most eagerly awaited event for winter sports enthusiasts and high-altitude enthusiasts.

We welcome you to the SellaRonda Skimarathon, the famous night ski mountaineering race in pairs. This year the marathon celebrates its 31st year since its debut and will take place in Val Gardena. 

The athletes, also for this new edition, will face an exciting itinerary of 42 kilometres and 2,700 m of altitude difference. A race that tests endurance, technique and teamwork, providing intense emotions.

The participants, in teams of two, will start and finish in Selva Val Gardena/Wolkenstein. Along the way they will tackle the tour of the 4 passes of the Sella Group: Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo Sella, crossing and passing through the main towns of Corvara, Arabba and Canazei.

The silence of the night will be interrupted only by the rustle of the seal skins on the snow and by the lights of the headlamps that will illuminate the track, drawing a luminous snake along the slopes, providing a magical and evocative atmosphere. An adrenalin-pumping adventure on skis under the stars.

While those who want to relax and watch the race will be able to follow the live streaming at 6pm. In addition, there will be numerous activities to pass the time while waiting for the athletes to arrive.
