Südtirol Jazzfestival South Tyrol 2024
Südtirol Jazzfestival returns to South Tyrol for its 42nd edition. The whole South Tyrolean region is transformed into an extraordinary stage: the notes of jazz music will be heard in cities, lakes, castles and just about everywhere.
Südtirol Jazzfestival is one of the longest-running events in South Tyrol. Founded in 1982 as “Jazz Summer”, later called “Jazz & Other”. It was initially only held in Bolzano, later the whole of South Tyrol was involved.
As is tradition, the Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige begins on the last Friday in June and ends on the first Sunday in July. Ten days of jazz music festival, more than 50 concerts, more than 30 different locations including Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone, Silandro, Campo Tures and Corvara and more than 150 artists, young talents and many international stars from all over the world.
On 28th of June, the festival opens with a concert in the Parco Cappuccini in Bolzano. This will be followed by many other concerts spread throughout the whole province, in various places such as the Novacella Abbey, the Bunker H in Via Fago in Bolzano, the Roner distillery in Termeno and many more, drawing you into a mix of unforgettable emotions. New sites have been added this year where you can listen, relax, dance and enjoy the music. Here are the new entries: the Ottmanngut in Merano, the Corno del Renon, the Gasthof Jocher in San Vigilio in Lana and the Piazza Città in Vipiteno.
Complementing the main programme will be free open-air concerts at all hours of the day in the major squares of Bruneck, Bozen, Meran and Brixen.
